While traveling in Europe, one word kept appearing in graffiti: COURAGE. As I walked, I reflected on its meaning. Rooted in the Latin word for heart, courage calls us to live and speak from the heart.
Too often, we serve ego. We protect ourselves with stories that make us appear noble, even as we bring others down. But is that truly courageous? I see people cower before hierarchy, change, or the unknown. Real courage is doing what we fear most. We often fear what is unfamiliar: what lies beyond our paradigm or the default programming of childhood. Yet every time we step into the unknown, we expand both our intellect and our heart.
Today, we live in an age where algorithms feed our fears, amplifying the very biases that keep us small. But what if we broke that cycle? What if, instead of scrolling through reinforcement, we faced fear directly? What if we sought to understand the perspective we resist most? Our vision would expand, and we would gain knowledge deeper than anything a curated feed could ever deliver. 🤓
I have learned so much in the past few years about my own fears. I can tell you all of mine were self-made, echoes of default programming. Facing them has led to new experiences and perspectives that make me forever grateful.
So, my friends, choose one thing you fear this week. Study it. Sit with it. Seek knowledge through it. You may find the fear was self-manufactured, an illusion that never truly existed.
Follow your heart. Seek truth beyond the noise. Be courageous.
Courage is not the absence of fear.
It is the presence of heart.
Follow your heart. 🦁💛
