Seeking Sparks in Shadows ✨

We have all felt emotional triggers that pull us back to past pain: a certain place, a familiar word, or even an attitude. They can stir heartache, regret, or betrayal, often with an intensity that feels bigger than the moment itself. The person or moment that stirs it usually has no link to our past, yet they awaken pain we continue to carry.

For some, especially those living with deep trauma or PTSD, these triggers are not just memories but overwhelming responses that rise without warning. They are not easily released, and healing often requires time, patience, and support.

But, if we have a choice, why carry negativity when life is so precious? What good does it do us to hold tight to something that no longer exists? Some believe holding on is protection, but I believe it only limits us. Instead of exploring the novelty of the present moment, we react because we only see a past, veiled in fear and pain. Trauma lingers only because we carry it, usually unconsciously.

There is a difference between learning from the past and reacting to the present through unresolved pain. One empowers us with wisdom, the other weighs us down.

So what if, instead of only noticing emotional triggers, we started proactively looking for sparks? A spark could be the mouthwatering aroma of your favorite meal. The sound of laughter and praise from your team members while they celebrate a project milestone delivered with excellence. The feeling of waves gently crashing against your feet at sunset. These moments ignite gratitude, joy, and wonder. They remind us that energy can be renewed in an instant if we choose to notice. 🤓

Even if the first wave of emotion feels beyond your control, you can still learn to notice the sparks. They may not erase the pain, but they can coexist with it and gently remind you that light is still present. And I pray those waves of pain gently fade away for you.

This week, I invite you to shift your attention. When you feel an emotional trigger rise, pause and ask yourself: Is this weight still mine to carry? Then turn your senses toward sparks that lift you higher.

The Golden Trifecta is about Love, Service, and Action. Release pain with Love. Share presence as Service. And take Action by seeking the sparks in shadows. ✨💛

Have a golden week my friends!
